To begin this project, students were to bring in and photograph 3 objects from home. These objects were photographed in interesting angles under hard light, also coming from different angles, in order to find an interesting and dynamic shape of the object alongside its shadow. Once photographed and brought into Adobe Illustrator, these photos were transformed into intricate patterns, made up of the object and shadow.


Shown below are the photographs used to create the patterns used. The original photographs have been posterized to make the object one shape.
